I woke up this morning to find out I was the winner of Chris's fabulous blog candy!! She was offering her lovely candy for reaching over 300 followers on her Catt's Scratching Post blog! I was so thrilled, I couldn't believe it! I have never won blog candy before!!
So I have been wanting to make boxed sets of my cards for a long time to put in my Etsy shop. I actually did at one point, but it took so much time and so much of my supplies that in the end what I sold them for wasn't worth my time...unless you're making them as a gift to a family member. But I absolutely love making mini note cards, not only because they are so stinkin' cute but because I can basically use my paper scraps to make them and they don't take very long at all to make entire sets of them! And everyone loves to have little note cards on hand, because they can be used for just about anything from sending little notes to your child's teacher, putting them in a loved ones lunch box or briefcase, attaching them to gifts or even sending them along in a package to a customer! I thought why not make little gift sets with boxes and the envelopes included...So I did!
Here are the first couple of sets I made and they turned out so adorable...
For these sets I broke out my Cuttlebug and used some beautiful embossing folders for the background and some border punches! I just love the way the colors look against the Kraft cardstock bases!
For these gorgeous sets here I used the seashell stamp that my 8 year old bought me for my birthday this year. I wasn't sure what I was going to use the stamp on since it was kinda small, but it worked out perfectly for these mini cards! And I used my metallic inks to stamp the image to blend in with the beautiful metallic cardstock!
You should have seen his face light up when he seen that I had used the stamp he got me! :D
Anyways, if you are loving these as much I as I do then you can be taken directly to my shop to purchase them by clicking on the pics! Thanks for looking! :D
So I actually got out of the house yesterday and tore myself away from my craft room. We took the kiddos to the County fair and had just an awesome time...although I don't remember the fair costing an arm and a leg for the rides and games! We did save a little because yesterday was canned food drive day meaning our admission was free if we brought in canned food per each person. But what made this fair even more great was it was free concert series and Joan Jett and The Blackhearts were playing!! I actually got some video recorded footage of the concert but hubby accidentally deleted almost all of it but a small bit. Anyways despite a horrible and miserable sunburn that I'm having to put up with today I had a great time and although the boys didn't get to ride on as many rides or play as many games as they would have liked they had a great time too!
Here is the small recorded footage of the concert...
And here are the goobers eating their sno-cones...
Wow this week has flown by so fast! When I seen the sketch for last weeks Sketch Saturday challenge, I thought I would have more than enough time to get it done...but I guess not...lol. Oh well, it's still a beautiful Sketch and the card turned out lovely! And for this card I used another adorable Penny Black stamp! When I broke out my Penny Black stamps last week...I just can't seem to put them away...lol!

Yes I'm already in the mood for Halloween! I just love dressing up the kiddos and my littlest one is 3 1/2 this time around so I think he is going to really enjoy himself this year! I can't wait! So I figured I would start on my Halloween themed items starting with this adorable card!
I bought some adorable Halloween themed paper last year that I never got a chance to use...I've been waiting for the perfect sketch idea that would really show off the paper! So when I seen the sketch from Friday Sketchers this week, I just knew this was the perfect sketch that would show off the adorable paper! And I've just been waiting for the chance to use the adorable Halloween Digi freebie from Mo's Digital Pencil! I just love Mo's stamps, they are so very detailed and extremely cute too! And this one has stitching too! I feel the more I use stitching on my cards the better my stitches get and I get more familiar with my sewing machine too...it's not so scary anymore...lol!

INK and COLOR: The image was colored in with PrismaColor Pencils and a Gamsol technique was used.

I just love how this card turned out! I wasn't too sure about the color combo I decided to go with at first but it came together nicely in the end! At first I didn't think I had any fruity Penny Black stamps but was delighted to find this adorable bowl of cherries stamp in my unmounted stamps! And as I got the card all planned out, I realized I didn't have any cute sentiment stamps to go along with the image. So I designed the cute little sentiment with my many fonts I have loaded on my computer!
