Have A Yummy Birthday! Sweet Sketch Wednesday #86!

Goodmorning everyone! Can you believe it's the very last day of January?! This month sure went by fast! Looking back on this month I didn't nearly get as much done as I would have liked, but I think I have majorly improved since last year! I managed to at least blog 3-4 times a week and kept my mojo flowing through most of the month. I'm hoping to improve each month and by the end of the year I would like to consider myself as a pro blogger/crafter...lol!

Anyways, on to the challenge...which I'm sure everyone stopped by here to see instead of reading my chatter...lol. Over at "Sweet Sketch Wednesday"", they have a beautiful sketch this week that I had loads of fun playing with! And their sponsor for the week is "Bugaboo Stamps" which isn't a challenge at all for me to use! I not only LOVE Bugaboo stamps, but hubs recently let me go just a little crazy during their 60% off birthday sale!! I got me some absolutely adorable digis that will keep me busy for quite a long time!

Here's my take on their sketch this week with one of Bugaboo's adorable digis I picked up...as you can see I flipped the sketch...

The sentiment is my own, which I will be sharing for free on Friday! So if you like it, be sure to stop back by at the end of the week!

Here is a closeup of the yummy buttons and glazed cupcakes!...

Happy WOYWW!! Whats' On Your Workdesk Wednesday? #86

Goodmorning everyone and happy WOYWW! Wow last week just flew right on by didn't it?! Thanks to everyone who stopped by last week, I enjoyed all your comments! I'm going to make this a quick post today, as I'm super busy!
Ok so what's on my workdesk today...

I can't really tell you or show you what I'm working on here...but I can tell you that I have awesome news that happened over the week!! I was selected to be a design team member for Prairie Fairy Designs and I'm super excited! But you can tell from the pic I have been coloring in some super adorable images!!
If anyone wants to know what's going on here...

...no I'm not doing any type of construction...lol. I'm super frugal (or some would say cheap), so I'm cutting up some sandpaper and replacing the old stuff on my hand sander I use to clean my blending stumps. I go through this stuff like crazy!
Oh and I want to show you some new additions to my craft room...

Aren't these shelves great and just super cute?! I picked them up at Goodwill over  the weekend...I love Goodwill for this type of stuff! I'm using them to hold my "Fun Flock" containers, other little embellishment containers and my "Shimmers" paint.

I also managed to find this great box too, that I'm using to store all my paper mulberry flowers...

And one last thing I would like to share...

My son made this for me at school...it was one of his Christmas presents to me! Isn't it the cutest?! I'm not usually surprised by the gifts they make me at school, because it's usually the same cute things every year, but this was something new and super adorable! And I promised him I would share it with everyone every month. He designed a page for every month of the year!! You're probably wondering why I just now hung it up when it's almost Febuary?...lol, but honestly I don't have any free wall space in my craft area, it's all windows! So I figured out how to rig it up on the window!

Want to join in on WOYWW or see what it's all about, then hop on over to Julia's Stamping Ground to catch some peeks into the worlds of your everyday crafters!

Ok well until next week...happy crafting all...I'm anxious to get back to finishing my project...lol!! I will try to my best to get around to all of you this week!

A Card For My Oldest One's Birthday!! He will be 9!!

So I shared the cute little birthday card I made for our 4 year old...now I would like to share with you the card I made for our older one!! He will be 9 on the 26th! They sure do grow up fast don't they?!

For his card I used the fun and adorable sketch from "Friday Sketchers" and again the theme from "A Spoon Full Of Sugar Challenge". I just love the green and blue colors together!

As I said, I've been trying to make shape cards lately, so this is my first circle card. I think it turned out so adorable! I used the cute little dino stamp set from "My Favorite Things" along with the sweet matching sentiments for the front and inside!

Here's a closeup and the inside...

Friday Sketchers -Sketch #138:

If you would like to see the other card I made for our other little birthday boy...it was my first post of the day!

ENJOY!

A Card For My Little One's 4th Birthday!

I've been busy for the past few days preparing for our sons birthday...we actually have 2 of them with birthdays this month! We celebrate them together because one is on the 22nd and one is on the 26th...I know 2 birthdays so close and so soon after Christmas...craziness!!

Anyways I made them some really cute quick little cards that I wanted to share today...I will be separating them into 2 different posts, because I will be entering them into different sketch challenges.

This one I made for our littlest one which just turned 4 on the 22nd! I used the sketch from "Sweet Sketch Wednesday" and the theme from "A Spoon Full Of Sugar".

He loves cute little anything so I thought this cute little bee stamp set from "Stampendous" was perfect for him! And I've been wanting to try out shape cards as I've been seeing them all over blogland lately...so these will be my first shape cards using Spellbinders dies! They are small, so adorable and just the perfect size for our boys!

Here's a closeup and the inside...

Happy WOYWW #85!!...What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?

Happy WOYWW everyone! Thanks to all who managed to stop by my workdesk last week and leave lovely comments! I will try to keep the chat down to a minimum as I'm super busy this morning...try is the word...lol.

Well I managed to get some beading projects done over the last few days...so there will be no card to show today. But I did complete a bunch of lovely little zipper pull charms that I will be adding to the shop this week!

So what's on my workdesk today? My make shift photostudio, lots of picture taking and photo editing  is what's on my agenda to get done today!

This is a very rare look into my craft room today as I very rarely have my laptop setup in my room. I only bring my laptop into my craft room when I'm taking shop pics, uploading, editing, etc...If I had a bigger space It would obviously be a stationary thing as it is very needed in there! Although I'm sure if it was in there all the time I would never get any work done...as I would be lost in blog land forever...lol!

Anyways, here is a pic of my photostudio/recycled box made into a a light box...

If you look closely off to the left you will see my not so secret little weakness which is my Diet Coke and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups! I almost cropped it entirely out of the pic out of shame, but then thought...I'm probably not the only one who enjoys their soda and chocolate...(although mine is an every day gotta have addiciton)...lol!

Here is a long pic of what's on my actual workdesk...which is my portable beading table and another little beading project soon to be started!

My portable beading table is actually a recycled wooden board that hubs cut and then covered with a fabric that helps from my beads rolling around. Works really well!

Ok I know I said I wasn't going to be so chatty, I guess I lied...but I do have one last pic for today. Everyone has been having a little laugh and have been asking me about the desk organizer box that I always have on my desk...which from the looks of my desk sometimes looks like I could really use it...lol! Well it is actually an empty box that I saved and use for my completed beaded items. The items I keep in this box are the ones that have not been pictured yet.

Oh almost forgot...very last pic I promise! Here is a little sneak peek of what I've been working on and what will be added to the shop this week!

Want to join in on WOYWW or see what it's all about, then hop on over to Julia's Stamping Ground to catch some peeks into the worlds of your everyday crafters!

Until next week...happy crafting!
ENJOY!
