It's that time again, yay!! I love Saturdays!
Jo whipped up another super fun sketch for us this week! And this is Cor's very last week guest designing for us at Sketch Saturday. She has done such a wonderful job inspiring us all month long! Be sure to stop by her blog and be further inspired as she's always a busy crafting bee and has something new to share nearly everyday! Sending huge hugs to you Cor and a great big thank you!!

Now for a little something from me...

The Sketch:

And this week we are being sponsored by our friends at "The Craft Barn"!

This weeks challenge winner will receive, as always, a generous prize from "The Craft Barn"!

For my card this week, I've used an adorable stamp from "C.C. Designs" Swiss Pixie Heidi! She is such a cutie! I colored her up with my Copics and tried to match the color of my DP as closely as possible...I love this color combo! I think I may be in a yellow mood lately...lol! Dreaming of sunshine I guess! The background cardstock is super glittery and is from "DCWV"! :D

All the flowers are from course from "WOC"...I just put in a new order and can't wait to get my new colors!! I've been out of the pretties like the purples and pinks for awhile! I got me some more crystal stems too...love those things!!

Kept the inside simple...but used more of that gorgeous burgundy flower DP!

Happy Easter!! Top Tip Tuesday "Who Caught Our Eye" Guest Designer!

I have a special card creation to share with you all today!
I was recently featured on the Top Tip Tuesday challenge blog for the "Who Caught Our Eye" spot! And I was asked to join them this week as a guest designer! They also asked me to join them again in April! It's such an honor to GD for them as I have been a player of their challenges for awhile now and the talented DT have such great tips to share every week!

Their theme this week is "Easter/Animals or Both!"

My tips for this week are:

Tip #1: Use an Opaque white pen or marker to add highlights or even a pattern to really make the image pop or stand out!
Tip #2: Always make sure to pick out your selected DP first before coloring your image. This will allow your card and color combo blend together nicely.

And the wonderful and generous sponsors this week are...

The super adorable image is from of course "Bugaboo Stamps" which is called: Easter Chick-Big Egg and can be found HERE! I used the cloud die from "MFT" with Tim Holtz distress ink to sponge the background...added a bit of grass with my Copics too.

Hoppy Easter! Sketch Saturday Challenge #200! WooHoo! Sponsored By Bugaboo Stamps!!

Goodmorning! Hope everyone's weekend is off to a great start?! Hubs has to work this weekend...so it's going to be a lazy crafty Saturday!
We went through a little SNOWmaggeddon here in Oregon the past couple of days which started on the first official day of Spring! We got about 10-12 inches of snow in total...enough to blanket our entire area and bring down trees on every block and sadly a few roofs too! The kiddos got 2 snow days out of it though and we had lots of fun playing in it...lol! Kinda funny to think Spring break is next week!!

~~~~~~~~~~♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥~~~~~~~~~~
Onto my card! We have a fabulous new sketch this week at Sketch Saturday making it Sketch #200!! WOW!! To celebrate this awesome milestone a couple of our DT girlies are participating in a DT swap with Bugaboo Stamps "Catch The Bug Challenge" and in turn we have a couple of their girls joining us this week! Be sure to catch all the info on the "Sketch Saturday" blog and show all the DT girls some love!
The sketch:
And of course our fabulous sponsor this week is "Bugaboo Stamps"!!
"Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps:
As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing!  From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects.  Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
 If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps   at Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT  for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug."
One lucky winner will get to choose 7 free digis to add to your Bugaboo collection! Big thanks to Jodie and everyone at Bugaboo!!
For my card I have used an adorable Easter themed Bugaboo digi called: Hoppy Occasions and can be found HERE! I masked the image and added some clouds to the background with Tim Holtz Distress ink and also surfaced him with a Copic shadowing technique. I also used some Stickles and some Glossy Accents for the eyes.
Here is a side view showing the cute purple cotton ball tassel ribbon at the bottom and the velvet blue ribbon I've had in my stash for awhile...
Emerald Faerie Garden DT Call...
So today is the first day of Spring!! Well...I don't know about anyone else, but it sure doesn't feel like Spring...more like Winter, brrrr...! I'm so ready for blooming flowers, the warmth and dreaming of Summer already...lol! I'm thinking of trying to plant flowers again this year, although they didn't ever take last year. I'm so tempted, but with our Oregon weather...I know better to wait! Plus it's been raining...which is normal for us, but it's also been snowing all over the state and down near the coast where we never get it! But enough of my rambling...Happy..errr...Spring!
~~~~~~~~~~♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥~~~~~~~~~~

Sooo...I noticed over at Emerald Faerie Garden Challenges they are having a DT call!! While I have never had the pleasure to use their lovely images before now, (they were put on my very LONG wish list of gotta have images...lol) I have participated in their fun challenges several times before and always enjoy seeing the amazing inspiration and talent that the DT comes up with!! So I decided I'm going to try out and purchased my very first image to use for the DT call and I have gotta say that I'm in love!! This little fairy was so much fun to color in!! Plus, I'm always a sucker for fairies!!

Here is my entry...and now keeping my fingers crossed!!

Not my usual color combo...I've been trying to step outside my creative box and try new color combos instead of my always safe, purples and pinks! I kinda like the way this turned out...although I think I could have done with a little less yellow...lol!

The beautiful little faerie image I used for my card today is called "Isabella" and can be found HERE! I added soft inked clouds to the background, popped her up on top with 3d foam and sparkled her up a bit with Stickles!

~♥ COPIC COLORS USED ♥~

All the flowers, flat back pearls and beautiful crystal stem are from "WOC"! I love the sparkling, whimsical look these crystal stems bring to any project! I got me some new border punches recently and have been having lots of fun playing with them...lol!

The inside...kept it simple on this one...

Happy St. Patty's Day everyone!
I admit I'm not wearing any green today...but I'm safely hibernating in my house with our Oregon weather and all...so no pinches for me today! LOL! I don't really celebrate this holiday but I know many who do...so for those who do celebrate, have a fun night but please stay safe!

For my card this week, I have used another Magnolia cutie call "Tilda As Butterfly" which can be found here! I couldn't resist sparkling up her wings with Stickles! I used a white opaque gel pen to polka her little dress!

The flower is actually put together from little petals I took apart and put back together again in different colors to match the card a little more. The flowers are originally made from a wonderful shop on Etsy called ABespokeTouch!

Happy Day! Sketch Saturday Challenge #198 -Sponsored By Simon Says Stamp!!

I'm so so so late ahhh! I've had such a hectic week with Doctors appointments for all the kiddos, everyone being sick and also a couple ER trips for one of the boys with an ear infection. Everyone is feeling a little better today including the one with ear infection thankfully! Hoping next week will be a bit slower and this nasty cold will go away!

Anyways...we have a new challenge for you this week at "Sketch Saturday"! And if the wonderful Saturday DT girls didn't inspire you enough already with their amazing creations...here is a little more inspiration from me with my late, late entry...

Here is Jo's awesome sketch which I flipped on it's side!

And this week we are sponsored by our friends at "Simon Says Stamp"!

And this weeks prize as always is a very generous $25 gift certificate...

which will be awarded to one very lucky winner!!

I purchased a few magnolia stamps a couple years ago and never got around to using them...I know...I'm a craft hoarder, LOL! I was inspired to break them out and finally get them inked up and colored in because a blogging buddy of mine "Cor*" just started on a brand new Magnolia Challenge DT called "Midweek Magnolias"! Looked like fun and I figured if I actually start using the very few Magnolia stamps I have and may have a chance at winning some more!! :)~

The  adorable little Tilda I used for my card today is called "Sweet Tilda" and can be found here. The sentiment is from "MFT" along with the coordinating label die that I used for the end of the tag!

All flowers, pearls and the crystal stem are from "WOC"! The gorgeous sparkling pink and green fabric bauble are from the "Recollections" brand of embellishments. I sparkled the flowers and the image very lightly with Stickles...which I'm proud of cause I usually go a little crazy with that stuff...lol!

While looking for Magnolia challenges to play along with, I also came across "Magnolia-Licious Highlites" and their theme this month is to make a card that 'Moves and Grooves'. So I kept that in mind while stitching the middle panel together to leave a space for a tag to be slipped in and out of the side! I think it turned out really cute! I decided not to make this a traditional folded card, since I added the tag which both the front and back can be used for a personal message. So my card has no inside today! I guess you could call it a card topper? lol.
