Wishing You A Wickedly Spooktacular Birthday! Sketch Saturday #204 -Sponsored By Pages of Memories!

Whew...I didn't think I was going to even get a chance to play with my goodies this weekend, but I made it...better late than never! :P~

Was able to hep hubs get his assignments all finished up for the week and he even had time to get the weeding and mowing done today...we also put the boys to work washing the cars...lol! I know we're so bad...but hey they had fun and loved it! I actually feel like we got a lot accomplished today and we will now have some time to relax tomorrow with the boys and make it a couch potato day with movies and popcorn!

~~~~~~~~~~♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥~~~~~~~~~~
So glad I found some time to play with the Sketch this week! I don't know how Jo is able to come up with such amazing sketches every week!
The fabulous sketch this week:
We have an amazing new sponsor this week...so please give Pages of Memories a visit!!
And the fabulous prize for this weeks winner will get 2 "Nikki & Friends" stamps of the winner's choice!
You're probably thinking...hmm...it's not Halloween yet?...lol! Nope definitely not October...but when I seen this image in the Tiddly Inks shop, I just knew it would be perfect for a birthday card for my mom! Her birthday is coming up soon and she is in love with goth and dark type stuff like witches and vampires and all that! And no she is not evil or into witch craft...lol...she just has a very eclectic taste. So I know she will really get a kick out of this...or so I hope! :)
The image I used is called: "Spooky Birthday" and can be found in the Tiddly Inks shop HERE!
I had these plastic spiders left over from the kiddos Halloween stuff back year..they are actual rings that I cut the back off of. Those gorgeous purple moonstone brads are part of my new stash I got from my last order at "WOC"!
And I know I said I was going to stay away from this glittery paper but I wanted something super sparkly for the theme I was going for on this card. Takes me ages to clean up the super fine glitter that falls off of this paper after playing with it...gets all over in my hair, face, skin, everywhere...lol! It also clogged up my sewing machine!
Used the same layout for the inside too...
Guest Design Card for Make It Crafty -Copper Colored Metal Challenge!
It's Friday...Friday...anyone else ever get that song stuck in there heads on Fridays?....Hope I'm not the only one...LOL! Hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday in anticipation of a great weekend! No fun for me though this weekend as I will helping hubs get caught up on his school work...oy....
~~~~~~~~~~♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥~~~~~~~~~~

Anyways, I have a special project to share today! Tracy from Craftezee once again asked me to GD for Make It Crafty challenges and I definitely couldn't pass up the chance to play with these stunning images! I was amazed she even considered me because the whole team has some outstanding and very talented color artists already! :)

This weeks challenge theme is "Copper Colored Metal"...a bit challenging and intimidating at first thought until I found the perfect image in the Make It Crafty shop to use!

I tried to keep my card a little plain and simple to show off more of the coloring this time, since after all this is a coloring challenge! The other awesome part about the Make it Crafty challenges is you don't even have to have a completed card or project to submit...you can submit just a pic of your fab coloring! How fun is that?!

The image I used for my card can be found in the Make It Crafty shop HERE!

Copper Metal Flowers: E11, E13, E15 & E18
Metal Leaves: BG90, BG93 & BG96
Metal Stems, Cogs & Bolts: NO, N2 & N4
Natural Leaves: YG91, YG93 & YG97
Dirt and Rocks: E40, E42 & E44

I did color a sky...but it's not noticeable in the pic...lol. I used W00 and went over it with B0000 to give the sky a watercolor effect.

I cannot believe it's Saturday already! The weeks sure are flashing by aren't they?! It seems like just yesterday, the boys were going back to school after a long Summer break and now Summer is just right around the corner again! My oldest will be in 5th grade this year and my youngest will finally be going to Kindergarten in the Fall. Sometimes I wish I could turn back time...but I know you can't keep them babies forever...lol!

I colored her with my Copics in lots of Springy beautiful colors and of course had to sparkle up her gorgeous wings!

Not sure if you can tell from my pics?...but I embossed the background panel she is sitting on top of and added some cheesecloth beneath it.

I finally got my new order of lovely flowers from "WOC" the other day and I just couldn't wait to use my new beauties...lol! Loving those white tulips! Oh and I also got me some of their new line of gorgeous brads too! I'm really in love with the roses too...the perfect size and style! The pink ones I actually got in the clearance section...they are the 25mm Wild Roses and the gorgeous purple on is the 35mm Trellis Roses.

Wishing You A World Full Of Joy! Copic Marker Europe -Guest Design Card!

Goodmorning!
Is it the weekend yet?....lol! It's been a long soggy week for us. But I guess the saying goes that you can't have May flowers without April showers right? It's not that bad though because it gets me out of doing the weeding that I still have not done, ha ha!!

Besides the weather report...I noticed I finally reached 700 followers the other day, so that means I will be having some more candy coming soon! Yay! So be sure to watch out for that...I've got lots of goodies planned!

~~~~~~~~~~♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥~~~~~~~~~~
So I have a special project to share today! A few weeks back Tracy Payne from Crafteezee contacted me and asked if I would be interested in being a guest designer for "Copic Marker Europe"! Tracy is one super talented lady and I was amazed and flattered that she would even consider me, so of course I said yes!
And the whole idea around Copic Marker Europe is to; inspire, give ideas, coloring tips or share any special techniques you've used. I wrote a little blurb on my card over there, so be sure to stop by the Copic Marker Europe blog if you are interested in reading! And if not for my card then you will be sure to get lots of great ideas and coloring tips by scrolling through all their previous posts and talented guest designers!
For my card today I've used "Tilda Blowing Bubbles" which can be found HERE! I love this stamp!
All flowers and crystal stem are from "WOC" and that delicious ribbon was actually from the bargain bin at Michaels!
Huggabug! Top Tip Tuesday -Spotty Dotty Challenge! My Card as Guest Designer!
Goodmorning!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend! The weather here actually played nice on Sunday and allowed us to have an Easter egg hunt for the boys outside...for the first time in 2 years...lol! We also celebrated my birthday on Easter too...my birthday usually ends up falling on Easter almost every year. It was the BIG 30...and not really sure how I feel about turning 30 yet?...lol. Nothing really special since there was still so much excitement with Easter, but my boys did help daddy pick me out a cake and I got a few pressies, so it was a fun day!
~~~~~~~~~~♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥~~~~~~~~~~

Anyways, I'm happy to be back as guest designer once again for the Top Tip Tuesday challenge this week! And the theme this week is "Spotty Dotty"! I love anything to do with polka dots or spots...so I went a little crazy...lol!

And since the main focus of Top Tip Tuesday is to have few tips to share...here are a couple more tips from me:

Tip #3: When adding stitching to a project...make sure to never add adhesive or glue in the area to be stitched. This will make for straighter lines and flawless stitching. And to finish off cleanly, pull your strings towards the back and secure with a small piece of tape.
Tip #4: Using lace or frilly ribbon to edge panels instead of a border punch and cardstock adds more dimension to your project.

The wonderful sponsors this week are...

and

I used some more of that glittery cardstock! Not sure if you can tell...but the panels behind the image have been embossed with even more polkadots!

And I have used another super adorable Tiddly Inks image today! This one is called "Little Bugg" and can be found HERE! I've added some spots to make it look like a ladybug with my Prisma fine liner pen and sparkled up the wings with Stickles!

Side view showing the dimension...

May Your Birthday Be Filled With The Gift Of Love! Sketch Saturday #202 -Paula's DT week! Sponsored by Tiddly Inks!!

OOooohh boy, it feels so good to relax! This is the first time I've been able to sit down and enjoy my day since Wednesday night! I opted for cappuccino this morning...it's the English Toffee flavor from Hill Bros....if you haven't tried it, you NEED to!! Oh so good...lol! And I'm being really bad and munching on a caramel and almond Biscotti too...are you drooling yet?!

I had been ooober stressed for the last 2 days! It started Wednesday afternoon when we got a 24 hour notice from our landlord that he would be coming to inspect the house on Friday. While I usually keep the house pretty clean...it wasn't at all 100% or ready for an inspection! And I had no idea what he would be looking at! So I scoured the whole house from head to toe, room from room and closet to cupboard! I even went through and spot cleaned all the carpets and repainted the walls with touch up...specially where the little one decided to use it as his color palette! And then had to keep it clean until he came...which was not an easy task with the 3 boys running around!

So, you will not guess what happened?? He came, he saw and he left, that was it! He was here for maybe not even 5 minutes and said "yep, everything looks good here, have a nice day". He barely looked at anything! He walked through the house quickly, through the rooms and halls and that was it. He told us this was a routine inspection and he was just making sure the plumbing was working. Ummmm ok?...but he didn't even check the plumbing, weirdo! Hubs said he thinks he may have been checking just to make sure we were following the rules and don't have a pet. I don't know...but I was seething, not to mention super sore, ohh really sore...lol. I literally passed out last night and slept like you wouldn't believe!

Ahh well...on the bright side, at least I now have my Spring cleaning done! The only thing we didn't get to was the weeding. We'll get to it when the weather is better...that's my story and I'm sticking to it...lol!

~~~~~~~~~~♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥~~~~~~~~~~
So anyways...that's also why my post for Sketch Saturday is a little late today. I usually schedule my posts before hand...but I didn't even get a chance to make a card until he left yesterday! It was a miracle, I had the brain to be able to whip this up...lol! And I'm actually happy with it! I welcomed the sight of my craft room and yummy paper and tools...so relaxing...lol!
This week Jo is taking a well needed break and handed the reins off to Paula who made us an awesome sketch to play with! And the whole DT really rocked it out!
Here's Paula's fabulous sketch:
This week we are so lucky to be sponsored by the wonderful Tiddly Inks
Tiddly Inks offers cute digital stamps created by children's illustrator Christy Croll. You'll find something for everyone for all occasions and they are so much fun to color too!!
Christy has kindly offered a $10 gift certificate for one lucky winner!!
What are you waiting for??
 I haven't done a really bright and colorful card in such a long time! I love the chance at breaking out my buttons and glittery textured cardstock!! This sketch definitely called for cuteness and buttons!
 We all know where the adorable image cam from!! I hadn't shopped at Tiddly Inks in so long ever since I bought her little fairy bugs awhile back! I figured using a Tiddly Inks image would be fitting since Christy is generously sponsoring us this week! And boy does she have a ton of new cuties!! I went a little crazy and nearly bought out the whole store...or so I tried...lol. Had to put some back but not before keeping more than a few cuties in my cart! You can say, you will be seeing a lot more Tiddly Inks cards from me!
The image I'm using today is called "Wryn Birthday Girl" and can be found HERE! And you know how I love sentiments...she came with this adorable matching sentiment here...
And the yummy buttons...I luuurve buttons as equally as I love "WOC" flowers and Stickles!
I used those adorable little gifts from the sentiment, cut them out and added them to the inside...thought it looked cute, lol!
